Westbury, get ready: The Shed, Long Island's all-day brunch chain, has expanded. The latest location touches down in The Selby luxury apartment building in Westbury.

Established in 2017 in Huntington, the concept quickly took off and by 2022, additional outposts had opened in West Sayville and Plainview. The Westbury location is by far the largest, with a 5,000-square-foot dining room, massive floor-to-ceiling windows and a bi-level 1,800-square-foot patio adding 60 seats to the 120 interior ones. Perhaps, at this Shed, the wait for a table will be less arduous.

"This beautiful luxury development is a place where we are able to bring together the whole community while also serving as a great amenity for the people who live within The Selby itself," explained John Tunney, The Shed's owner.

Whether you’re craving a burger, fried chicken, a grain bowl or a midday egg white omelet, The Shed has all-day comfort food covered. The menu in Westbury reads exactly the same as its sister locations, with breakfast classics including buttermilk pancakes ($14.95) with cherries, bananas, chocolate chips (or “the works” for $4 more); avocado toast and sunny-side up eggs ($14.95); a Benedict on biscuits with bacon, sausage or smoked salmon ($16.95) and a gluten-free egg bowl made with two poached eggs, spinach, avocado and corn ($15.50). Picky? Make your own omelet or frittata from a long list of fixings including sweet potatoes, bell peppers and an assortment of cheeses.

The staying power of The Shed is that while you may want breakfast or brunch, your dining partner may want lunch or dinner. There’s everything from skillet mac and cheese (loaded with corn, bacon and jalapeño, $16.25) to Shed wings in chipotle buffalo sauce, to large format salads like the “Summer Salad,” chock full of strawberries, arugula, smoked almonds and goat cheese or a Cobb ($18.75). Both can be topped with an assortment of proteins — we chose the fiery, blackened shrimp ($14) and suggest you do the same.

Burgers with house-ground meat and sandwiches round out the menu, plus a Shed lobster roll ($38.50) that is served butter-poached, Connecticut style. Dinner brings heartier plates including a 12-ounce sirloin steak ($38.95), chicken and waffles, and glazed salmon ($29.25). Pair all with a loaded Bloody Mary topped with veggies and pickles, and you’ve got yourself a meal that will please everyone.
