Skinny Pizza opens at Roosevelt Field
Another restaurant devoted to mindful eating has opened at Roosevelt Field. Joining the calorie-controlled Seasons 52 is Skinny Pizza, an offshoot of the Roslyn Heights original.
The draw here is a roster of thin-crust pies, available whole or by the slice, as well as low-calorie wraps and salads, all with calorie counts that allow for informed choices.
Options include a Margherita pie (1,520 calories for a 16-inch pie, $19.50; 520 calories for an individual pie, $11.50) as well as a “Skinny shrooms” pizza (540 calories for a 10-inch pie, $13, 1,520 for a 16-inch pie, $23). There are also low-calorie wraps (turkey wrap, 420 calories, $8.95), build-your-own pasta selections ($6.50 to $9.50) and salads, such as the Cobb (630 calories, $8.95).
If you want to catch a few rays, there are outdoor tables. Enter the place through the mall or from the outside; it's in the Northwest corner.
