Smithtown newbie: Blacksmith Tavern

A gastro pub it ain’t. But the new Blacksmith Tavern in Smithtown serves up a decent burger (which would have been better had it not been so well-done) and an even better turkey burger, thick and super-juicy. Come to think of it, pulled pork sliders aren’t bad either. Forget the pedestrian previously frozen fries, though.
Here, the bar scene – pool table, DJ on Thursday and Friday nights, live bands on weekend – far overshadows the culinary one.
