Taormina Italian Restaurant & Pizza closes in Sea Cliff

Taormina Italian Restaurant & Pizza on Glen Cove Avenue in Sea Cliff has closed after just one year in operation. The comfortable Italian-American spot was reviewed in November by Newsday’s Joan Reminick, who praised the well-seasoned spaghetti and meatballs and the lush, light eggplant parmigiana.

Chef and owner Saverio Caratozzolo has no plans to open another place immediately, but does plan some “rest and relaxation.”
