The Inn at Fox Hollow in Woodbury opened a wine bar recently and named it Vintage 25 Wine Bar & Lounge. Let the confusion begin.
Vintage 25 joins Vintage Bar and Grill (Jericho) and Vintage Restaurant Bar and Lounge (New Hyde Park) as the third establishment called Vintage to open on Jericho Turnpike in the past six months.
The other two places are restaurants; Vintage 25 is a wine bar with a real commitment to pouring interesting wines, among them: Joseph Carr 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa, $14 for a glass, $52 for a bottle), Alderbrook 2009 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley, $12, $45), Rodney Strong Symmetry 2009 ($30, $140) and Ca’Marcanda Magari 2010 (Tuscany, $36, $160). The rarer wines, like the last two, are also available in half glasses. There is also a cocktail menu.
The Inn at Fox Hollow is owned by the Scotto Brothers. According to Vicki Colacicco, the company’s marketing and business development manager, Vintage 25’s wine list was put together by owner Anthony Scotto as well as the sommeliers of Blackstone and Rare 650, two of his restaurants.
The wine bar is adjacent to the suite hotel's dining room, whose menu is available. Colacicco said that a wine-bar-only, small-plates menu is forthcoming.
Vintage 25 is at the Inn at Fox Hollow, 7755 Jericho Tpke., Woodbury, 516-224-8100.
