Waffle Magic offers sweet and savory treats in West Babylon
I bet you didn’t know you wanted a pastrami and swiss with scrambled egg and a slather of chili sauce — on a Belgian waffle. If that doesn’t tempt you, there’s bacon, egg and corn with sesame teriyaki, or ham and egg with barbecue and pickles among waffle sandwiches.
These concoctions are part of the intriguing menu at Waffle Magic in West Babylon, a shop that Chris Zhang opened earlier this year. His first restaurant is small and bright with orange accents in a 20-seat space.
In addition to these savory sandwiches, you’ll find dessert waffles that can be dressed with a zillion ingredients, from a long list of ice cream flavors, hot fudge or caramel, whipped cream, fruits and powdered sugar. If that’s not enough, there’s a vast milkshake selection, a DIY fro-yo setup and an array of bubble teas that tempt from picture menus displayed around the shop.
All waffles start at $6.50 and milkshakes are $4.99. “All you can fill” yogurt ranges from $2.99 for six ounces, $4.99 for 12 ounces and $5.99 for 16 ounces.
Waffle Magic is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
