Long Island's ever-expanding cadre of specialized burger spots has a new addition: Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar. The first branch of the chain to hit New York just opened Tuesday at Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station.

Unlike some burger places, this one offers full table service. The contemporary decor features lots of wood and earth tones, and the place has a full bar. The wine list encompasses 23 varieties ranging from $5 to $15 a glass, $20 to $48 a bottle.

Burgers are made with either Angus or American-style Kobe beef, ground daily. On the menu: the namesake Zinburger, topped with manchego cheese, Zinfandel braised onions and mayo ($10), a Kobe burger topped with Cheddar, wild mushrooms and mayo ($15), an ahi sandwich ($15), a turkey burger ($10), a veggie burger ($9) a BLT salad ($5 small; $8 large) and hand cut fries ($5).

For dessert, you can get shakes or malts, as well as floats in such flavors as salted caramel to double chocolate mint ($6). There’s also banana cream pie ($5).

Zinburger faces Route 110 and is situated at the southern end of the mall. You must enter from outside. The restaurant  joins two eating places that debuted last week,  Brio Tuscan Grille and Cups Frozen Yogurt.

Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar is at 160 Walt Whitman Rd., Huntington Station, 631-271-3891.
