One of the most popular sites on the Internet for medical advice is webmd.com. If you have an Apple iPhone or iPad, the WebMD mobile app has been updated to Version 5.1 and has added a Healthy Target feature that allows users to search for recipes based on medical needs and dietary preferences.

The Android version of the WebMD app has not yet been updated to include Healthy Target, but it still has numerous useful features included in the iPhone and iPad app, such as a symptom checker, medical dictionary and first-aid information. Both the Apple and Android versions are free.

Apple device users can download the WebMD app at the iTunes Store. Android users can find the app at Google Play store or Amazon Appstore.

Despite being ad-supported, WebMD says it maintains a wall between advertisers and its editorial content on both its website and its apps.
