Police searching for shooter who wounded 20-year-old man in North Amityville
Police are searching for the shooter who wounded a 20-year-old man Sunday night in North Amityville.
Suffolk County police said the victim was standing in front of his home on Emerald Lane South when he was struck by two bullets fired from a passing vehicle at 8:10 p.m.
Police believe the shooting was targeted.
The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of what police described as "non-life-threatening" injuries.
Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call First Squad detectives at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
