Man charged with stealing pool tank from Hamptons hotel, police say
A Connecticut man was arrested Tuesday after attempting to steal a motorcycle and then swiping a pool chemical tank from Topping Rose House, a luxury hotel in Bridgehampton, police said.
Francesco Adorno Jr., 35, of Windsor Locks, Connecticut, is charged with third-degree attempted grand larceny and petit larceny, according to a statement from Southampton Town Police.
Adorno was trying to steal a Yamaha motorcycle when the owner confronted him, police said. He released the bike and left the scene, but not before taking the tank, police said. They later found and arrested Adorno.
