Bellmore man had 400 bags of heroin, police say
A Bellmore man was arrested Tuesday afternoon near the Bellmore train station and charged with possession and sale of a controlled substance, Nassau County police said.
When Anthony Trentacosta, 23, was arrested at 4:10 p.m., he had about 400 glassine bags of a substance believed to be heroin in his possession, police said.
A number of civilian complaints of drug sales in the area led to the investigation that resulted in Trentacosta’s arrest, narcotics/vice detectives said.
Trentacosta was arraigned Wednesday in First District Court Hempstead.
