A Bloods street gang member from Central Islip pleaded guilty Wednesday to opening fire on patrons of an East Patchogue bar in 2020, striking two bystanders, Suffolk prosecutors said.

Adonis Pamphile, 24, pleaded guilty to first and second-degree assault and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Pamphile is scheduled to be sentenced by Acting Suffolk County Supreme Court Justice Richard Horowitz on Nov. 3, where, as part of a plea agreement, he faces a sentence of eight years in prison and five years of post-release supervision.

"This incident began with a bar fight that quickly escalated to a life-threatening situation when the defendant opened fire on patrons exiting the establishment," Suffolk District Attorney Timothy Sini said. "Law enforcement worked tirelessly to identify and locate this individual, and to ensure he was held accountable for his reckless, dangerous actions."

George Duncan, Pamphile's Islip Terrace-based defense attorney, declined to comment.

"The case is still open and ethically I am constrained from commenting," Duncan said.

Pamphile was at Buen Ambiente on East Main Street on Oct. 24, 2020 when he got into a physical altercation with several patrons, prosecutors said.

He retrieved a handgun from the trunk of a white sedan, firing several shots from the parking lot toward the back door of the bar, striking two bystanders, authorities said. Pamphile fled in the sedan, officials said.

One victim was shot twice in his legs and was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue for treatment of serious injuries. The other victim, who was struck once in the leg, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Pamphile was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on Nov. 24.
