Brooklyn man pleads guilty over cocaine deal with undercover cops, Suffolk DA's office says
A Brooklyn man pleaded guilty Monday to selling cocaine in New York City he thought was bound for the East End, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said.
The man, Michael Khodorkovskiy, 44, pleaded to criminal sale of a controlled substance, the office wrote in a news release issued Tuesday. He faces a decade in prison.
According to the release, in 2023 and 2024, "Khodorkovskiy sold high quantities of cocaine to an undercover police officer near his residence in Brooklyn."
"He sold those drugs believing the drugs were going to be sold in Suffolk County. He also travelled to East Hampton and sold cocaine to another undercover police officer believing it was going to be redistributed in East Hampton and Montauk, during the busy summer months when the Hamptons experience a high influx of visitors and tourists," the release said.
The release added: “Khodorkovskiy owned a Mercedes Benz vehicle, which police discovered held a hidden compartment, also known as a ‘trap,’ that was filled with additional cocaine and the narcotic MDMA.”
