A cell phone salesman was robbed at gunpoint Saturday afternoon in Elmont, Nassau Police said Sunday.

Three hooded assailants approached the 22-year-old clerk at the Metro PCS store at 555 Hempstead Turnpike, with one pointing at gun at him and demanding money from the cash register, police said. The clerk emptied the store’s register into the gunman’s backpack and the three men then fled southbound on Rockmart Avenue, police said.

Police described the robbers as one Hispanic and two black males wearing dark clothing, face masks and hoodies. No one was injured in the robbery and anyone with information is asked to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
