Jeffrey Plummer fired at least three shots during a dispute with another man at a multi-family home on Route 112 at about 8:50 a.m. Tuesday.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk police Sixth Squad detectives are asking the public’s help in finding a man wanted in connection with a dispute in which he allegedly fired shots, closing Route 112 in Coram on Tuesday for six hours.

Police say Jeffrey Plummer fired at least three shots during a dispute with another man at a multifamily home on Route 112 at about 8:50 a.m. The man, 53, lived at the home and wasn’t injured, police said.

Plummer, 61, who also lives at the home, has two outstanding bench warrants on charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and traffic violations.

Suffolk County police said Tuesday that “a personal dispute between two male neighbors” escalated when one of them discharged a shotgun inside the home.

Both men left the home, and the suspect fired two more shots, police said. No one was hit by the gunshots, and there were no injuries, police said.

Route 112 was closed Tuesday between Granny Road and Pauls Path from shortly after 9 a.m. to shortly after 3 p.m., police said.
