A 47-year-old man from Wading River was escorted Thursday from the Riverhead Police Department for his arraignment on a charge of driving while intoxicated after slamming into a police officer's vehicle Wednesday night. The officer was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Newsday's Steve Langford reports.
