Police seek suspects who set fire to home under construction
Investigators are searching for the suspect — or, suspects — who set a house on fire earlier this month in East Farmingdale, Suffolk County police said.
Police said the home on Lincoln Avenue was under construction and said it was set ablaze in an apparent arson fire reported at 3:50 a.m. on April 3. Police said the exact cause of the blaze remains under investigation, but said suspects are wanted for arson.
Photos released by police showed an interior room gutted and damaged by fire. An exterior photo showed both interior and exterior damage to the first and and second floors.
The home was unoccupied and there were no reported injuries.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the fire to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Tipsters can also use a mobile app downloaded through the App Store or at Google Play by searching P3 Tips or online at P3Tips.com.
All calls, texts and emails will remain confidential and tipsters are eligible for a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
