Floral Park police are looking for a flasher who they said exposed himself to three teenage girls on Sunday.

Police Commissioner Stephen G. McAllister said the incident was reported by the parents of the three girls, all 13 years old, and said it occurred around noon on Tulip Avenue.

As reported to police, McAllister said the teens were “just walking along” when a man in what is believed to be a gray Nissan Sentra called out to them, asking for assistance.

The girls walked over to the car to find the suspect “sitting there with no pants on.” The girls fled and called their parents, police said.

“The parents then called us,” McAllister said.

The commissioner said detectives have canvassed the area, attempting to locate surveillance video that might help them track the car, but so far have not been able to identify a license plate.

He said investigators also contacted the Nassau County police Third and Fifth precincts to see if they have reports of similar incidents, but have not found any on record.

Local schools have been notified, McAllister said.

Based on their investigation so far, McAllister said of the accounts given by the girls, “We feel it’s pretty credible.”

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident — or, about previous unreported incidents — to call them at 516-326-6400. All calls will remain confidential.
