Nassau police on Wednesday released the identity and a photo of a man suspected in the slaying Tuesday of a Freeport man at a residence in Hempstead.

Roy Christmas, 36, is wanted in the fatal stabbing of William Pinckney, 57, in the rear of a home on Warner Avenue, Nassau County police said.

The suspect, who uses the alias Skey, stabbed the victim multiple times about 4:15 a.m., police said.

Pinckney was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where he was pronounced dead at 4:57 a.m., police said.

Police urge anyone who may know the suspect’s whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS or call 911.
