Bay Shore man facing charges in fatal stabbing, Suffolk police say

The Suffolk County Police arrested and charged a Bay Shore man Tuesday in connection with a fatal stabbing in East Patchogue, the department said.
Antwane Lee, 31, was arrested at Suffolk County Police Headquarters Tuesday evening for allegedly stabbing and killing Justin Evans, 22, also of Bay Shore, on Sunday evening, the police department announced in a news release.
About 8 p.m. Sunday, Suffolk police responded to a report of a fight at a Pondview Drive apartment complex, Newsday previously reported. Before police arrived on scene, Evans was transported via private vehicle to NYU Langone Hospital — Suffolk. He was pronounced dead a short time later, police said
Following a Homicide Squad investigation, Lee was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, Suffolk police said. He will be held at the Third Precinct overnight and is expected to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
