Nassau County police are searching for a man who they said entered a home in Lawrence last month, pointed a handgun at another man, stole his car keys and his car before crashing it into a police car, other vehicles and a building — then fleeing on foot.

The suspect has been identified as Amir Samuel.

Police are asking the anyone with information about his whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential. Callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Police said the robbery occurred at 5:05 a.m. on April 17, when Samuel entered the home on Lawrence Avenue.

There was an argument inside that house, police said, at which time Samuel pointed a loaded black Sig Sauer at the victim’s head — and stole his car keys. Samuel then attempted to flee in the victim’s black 2016 Acura sedan, but collided with the cars and building before running away on foot, police said.
