Man committed public lewdness at Smith Haven Mall, cops say
A Smithtown man has been charged with three acts of public lewdness at the Smith Haven Mall during the past week, Suffolk County police said Monday.
Samuel Bartolotto, 26, of Hurtin Boulevard, was arrested about 7 p.m. Sunday following an investigation of an earlier incident, police said.
A woman in the Barnes & Noble store at the mall in Lake Grove reported a man committed an act of public lewdness Saturday at a table next to her, police said.
She left and reported the incident, police said.
Detectives said they later determined that Bartolotto had also committed an act of public lewdness in his car at the mall last Monday and again Friday.
Bartolotto was charged with three counts of public lewdness and will be arraigned at a later date, police said.
A man who answered the telephone at the Bartolotto home Monday said there would be no comment.
