2 Brooklyn men charged with motorcycle theft from New Hyde Park dealership, assault
Burglars broke into a motorcycle dealership in New Hyde Park in August and stole five bikes, then detained and beat up a passerby who saw the crime, Nassau police said.
The suspects, Tristan Livingston and Justin St. Hill, both 27 of Brooklyn, are charged with burglary, assault and kidnapping, the department wrote in a press release.
The break in was at Gold Coast Motorsport, and the five bikes are worth $125,000.
"During the course of the burglary, a 75-year-old male victim was walking his dog and observed the defendants breaking into the business. Both defendants assaulted the victim, threatened and restrained him, preventing him from leaving. The victim was able to eventually escape, after a prolonged struggle with the defendants," the release said.
The suspects were arraigned Tuesday. Details weren't immediately available.
