Nassau police say Farmingdale man burglarized 4 homes
A Farmingdale man was arrested Friday on charges he burglarized four homes in North Massapequa and South Farmingdale, Nassau County police said.
Vincenzo Romeo, 24, committed the first burglary Sept. 25, 2014, at a home on North Utica Avenue in North Massapequa, making off with jewelry, electronics and cash, police said.
The second burglary happened March 30, 2016, when Romeo climbed in through the rear window a Hitchcock Lane home in South Farmingdale, removing cash and personal papers, police said.
On May 18, Romeo burglarized two more homes — both on North Suffolk Avenue in North Massapequa — stealing jewelry from each, police said.
Two days later, detectives spotted Romeo on Yoakum Avenue in Farmingdale and placed him under arrest, police said.
Romeo is charged with four counts of second-degree burglary. He is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at Nassau First District Court in Hempstead.
It was not immediately clear whether he had an attorney.
The department did not release any additional details on the case.
