The arrests Wednesday night followed a raid on a house on North Atlantic Avenue in North Massapequa as part of an investigation into the sale of concentrated marijuana, marijuana oil and crack in the area, police said.

Officers who executed a search warrant at the house found a dagger, a switchblade knife, a butterfly knife, machetes, folding knives, a loaded semi-automatic handgun, an undetermined amount of cash, drug paraphernalia and substances believed to be marijuana, crack cocaine and marijuana products, police said.

John Griffin, 25, who lives in the house, was charged with five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of criminal possession of a firearm, police said.

Christopher A. Ruiz, 22, who also lives in the house, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Griffin was held on bail of $50,000 bond or $25,000 cash at arraignment at First District Court in Hempstead, records show. Ruiz was held on bail of $1,000 bond or cash, records show.
