Police: Drunken driving stop leads to drug find
An East Meadow man stopped for drunken driving was also found to be in possession of heroin and oxycodone pills and was driving with a suspended license because of a prior arrest for driving while impaired by drugs, State Police said.
Troopers from the Valley Stream barracks stopped Alan Sadowsky, 51, on Franklin Avenue at 3 a.m. Sunday in the Town of Hempstead, State Police said.
Sadowsky was charged with driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation, police said.
He was awaiting arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead.
