Bellmore man charged with stabbing roommate after argument over music volume, cops say
A Bellmore man was charged over the weekend for allegedly stabbing his roommate over loud music, Nassau police said.
Frank Liguori, 61, has been charged with second-degree and third-degree assault as well as fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
The 31-year-old victim was playing music in his apartment when Liguori approached him over the volume. The argument escalated and Liguori allegedly stabbed the man in the chest after 10 p.m. Saturday, police said.
The victim, whom police did not identify, went to a 7-Eleven on Merrick Road for assistance and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Police did not specify the extent of the man’s injuries.
Liguori was held after his arraignment at First District Court in Hempstead on bail of $10,000 bond or $5,000 cash and a temporary order of protection was issued, online records show.
Liguori is represented by David Wayne Haber, who did not immediately respond to a request for comment Sunday night.
