Nassau County police are investigating a Sunday morning chain-reaction crash in Lynbrook that killed an Uber driver and critically injured his passenger and another motorist.

On Monday, police identified the Uber driver as Reginald Scott, 70, of Baldwin. Scott was heading west on Sunrise Highway in a 2018 Nissan Sentra about 10:47 a.m. when he struck a 2012 Audi, also on its way west, at the intersection with Atlantic Avenue, police said.

Scott was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, police said. His passenger, a 26-year-old man, and the Audi driver, a 37-year-old man, were hospitalized in critical condition, police said.

The identities of the other victims have not been released.

The force of the crash led the Audi to collide with a 2011 Freightliner party bus driven by a 38-year-old man, police said.

The driver of the Freightliner refused medical attention, according to police.
