TAX LEVY 2.08 percent increase, from $100,667,313 to $102,760,855. This is equal to the district’s 2.08 percent tax-cap limit, so a simple majority vote is required for approval.

It also funds more learning opportunities in STEAM curriculum — science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics — and the rollout of Canvas, a cloud-based learning management system, for high school students.

PROPOSITIONS

Proposition 2 authorizes the district to spend $1.81 million from a capital reserve fund to replace tennis courts and reconfigure the high school library, and replace wood radiator covers and piping at the middle school. Approval of the proposition will not affect the tax levy.

Proposition 3 establishes a $15.8 million capital reserve fund for facilities improvements, including roofing, asbestos abatement and insulation, masonry and electrical work, lighting, security and air conditioning. Approval of the proposition will not affect the tax levy.
