A family in Levittown was displaced after their house caught fire early Saturday morning, fire and police officials said.

No one was injured in the 2:10 a.m. residential fire on Bark Lane, officials said.

The fire, which is not deemed suspicious, engulfed the front of the home, according to Nassau County police and Nassau County Chief Fire Marshal Michael Uttaro.

One person and at least one dog inside the house safely evacuated, according to Nassau County police and a Levittown Fire Department spokesman. The family is now staying with relatives.

The Levittown Fire Department responded to the scene within minutes and encountered heavy flames. They brought the fire under control within an hour with the help of four other fire departments, according to Uttaro.

Uttaro said the cause of the fire appears to be accidental, but it remains under investigation.

The Levittown Fire Department received the emergency call from family members and were also notified by home's alert system, the fire department spokesman added.
