74thRUTH AND BOB YODOFF of Massapequa were wed on Sept. 23, 1938. They both will be celebrating 96th birthdays by year's end. They have shared a wonderful and fulfilling life together. Bob is retired from the garment industry. They have traveled extensively with their two daughters and sons-in-law. They have five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
60thJOAN AND BUD SEITER of Bethpage were wed Sept. 6, 1952, at Precious Blood Church in Astoria. They celebrated with family at a luncheon at the Milleridge Inn. Bud is retired from Steamfitters Local 638, and Joan is retired from the Bethpage school district. They enjoy spending time with family and friends and going to casinos. They have two married daughters.
60thMARGARET AND EDWARD CHANDA of Massapequa were wed Sept. 13, 1952, at St. Joseph's Church in Astoria. They celebrated during a weekend reunion with their three children, eight grandchildren and extended family members, culminating with a dinner at the Irish Coffee Pub in East Islip. Edward served with the Marine Corps during World War II and is a retired stock broker. Margaret was a teacher in Massapequa. They enjoy family visits, reading, doing crossword puzzles and playing bridge and golf.
60thANNE AND LEONARD
GROPPER, residents of Massapequa for more than 50 years, were wed June 14, 1952, in Brooklyn. They celebrated with their three sons, three daughters-in-law and four grandchildren on a Disney cruise up the coast of New England to Canada. Anne is a retired secretary. Leonard is a retired industrial arts teacher.
45thPATRICIA AND HAROLD FRIEDMAN of Dix Hills celebrated Sept. 3 by cruising the bay on a friend's boat. The couple were sweethearts at Tilden High School in Brooklyn. They have three children and one granddaughter.
