Suffolk County anniversaries, Sept. 15:
70thVIRGINIA AND VERNON MUSGROVE of New Hyde Park were wed Aug. 19, 1943. They celebrated with their children at their son's home in Elmont. Vernon was a World War II pilot who flew out of Foggia, Italy. He retired as a lieutenant with the New York Police Department after 26 years. Virginia is a homemaker. They have 13 children, 41 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
65thALBERTA AND WARREN NOLANof Deer Park were wed June 4, 1948, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brooklyn. They celebrated with a family dinner. Warren is an Army veteran who served during World War II. He is a retired bus driver for Green Bus Lines in Jamaica. Alberta is a retired licensed practical nurse. She volunteers with the Deer Park Fire Department rescue unit. They have four children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
50thKATHLEEN AND EDWARD HARTof Sayville, originally from Richmond Hill, Queens, were wed June 15, 1963, at St. Lawrence the Martyr Church in Sayville. They celebrated with family and friends on the Lauren Kristy Paddlewheeler. Kathleen has volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 25 years. Edward works in commercial real estate. They have three children and four grandchildren.
50thMARY AND DAVE MCKELLof Huntington were wed June 15, 1963. They reaffirmed vows at the home of the Hon. Edward J. Kiley in Huntington, followed by a luncheon at Piccolo Bussola in Huntington. Mary retired from the Suffolk County Department of Social Services. Dave retired from the Suffolk County Police Department and works part-time at the Suffolk County district attorney's office. They have six children and nine grandchildren.
50thROSARY AND JOHN MIZZIof South Huntington were wed June 15, 1963. They celebrated with a family dinner at Vetro by Russo's on the Bay in Howard Beach, Queens, hosted by their three children and their spouses. A trip to The Sagamore Resort on Lake George is planned. They have three children and two grandchildren.
