Patrice McCarthy Kuntzler of Westbury recently received an Award of Distinction from the Long Island Association of Special Education Administrators for her role in helping children with severe disabilities "receive and have access to high quality education." Kuntzler is executive director of the Henry Viscardi School in Albertson, where she has worked for nearly 40 years. She is also a member of the School Administrators Association of New York State, Council of New York Special Education Administrators, and the Division of International Special Education and Services.
