A 14-year-old boy was struck by a box truck Monday morning near the intersection of Babylon Turnpike and Fulton Avenue in Roosevelt, police said.  Credit: Jim Staubitser

A teenager was struck by a box truck Monday morning in Roosevelt and is now hospitalized in stable condition, Nassau County police said.

The unidentified 14-year-old boy was struck by the truck at 8:45 a.m. near the intersection of Babylon Turnpike and Fulton Avenue, authorities said.

The victim suffered multiple injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital by a Nassau police helicopter for treatment, officials said.

The 54-year-old male driver, who was not identified, remained at scene.
