Police said an East Meadow man has been arrested and charged with public lewdness and exposing himself to a 17-year-old girl near Mepham High School Thursday, then grabbing himself while licking his lips near a junior high school about 15 minutes later.

George Rigas, 24, of 2412 Hudson St., will be arraigned on the lewdness charge Friday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.

Nassau County police said Rigas had been riding a bicycle on Camp Avenue in North Bellmore and then approached the 17-year-old girl as she neared the intersection of Elbert Avenue and Newbridge Road, where the girl told police he pulled down his pants and exposed himself. About 15 minutes later, police said witnesses told police “multiple students” saw Rigas touching himself outside the Woodland Junior High School on Wenwood Drive.
Police did not say when Rigas was arrested — or what led them to arrest him.
