A Queens man was arrested on arson charges after setting fire to garbage in four trash containers in West Hempstead early Thursday morning, Nassau police said.

Emmanuel Borg, 24, of 224-11 92nd Ave., set the fires along Hempstead Turnpike starting at 5 a.m., police said, adding that he used a stack of newspapers for kindling at his last location, a CVS at 621 Hempstead Tpke.

Police said that Borg resisted arrest, kicking his legs and refusing to be handcuffed.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court, Hempstead.
