A 38-year-old man was killed Sunday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a car on Sunrise Highway in Freeport, Nassau County police said.
The identity of the motorcyclist was being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
Police said the crash occurred at the intersection of Buffalo Avenue at 4:40 p.m. and involved a 2006 Toyota Scion TC driven by a 23-year-old man. Neither the man nor a 23-year-old female passenger was injured in the crash.
The Toyota driver was not charged and police did not release the identities of either occupant.
Police said the motorcycle, a 2007 Kawasaki, was headed eastbound on Sunrise Highway when the driver of the westbound Toyota attempted to turn left onto Buffalo.
