Cops seek man who stole gold chain in New Cassel
Nassau police are looking for man who stole a gold chain from a pedestrian in New Cassel on Saturday afternoon.
Third Squad detectives said a 29-year-old man was walking on Railroad Avenue near Grand Street at about 4:35 p.m., when another man wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, blue pants and black sneakers grabbed the chain from the victim's neck and ran away. The robber was described as 20 to 25 years old, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and 170 pounds, police said.
Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. Calls will be anoymous.
