A Syosset High School student was arraigned Thursday on a charge of making terroristic threats after he told a teacher he was unhappy at school and "wants to blow it up," Nassau police said.

Alexander I. Passe, 17, of Syosset, was talking to a teacher Wednesday about 8:15 a.m. when he made the threat, police said. It was reported to administrators, who notified police, authorities said.

Second Precinct detectives went to his home Wednesday night and arrested him, according to authorities.

Passe, of 278 Southwood Circle, was released after being arraigned and is due back in court Monday. It was not clear if Passe had an attorney Thursday, and a man who answered the phone at Passe's home hung up.
