Two people were shot at a Garden City restaurant early Sunday morning, Nassau County police said.

Police provided few details on the shooting.

Police said they received a call just before 3:30 a.m. reporting the shooting at Mint Restaurant & Lounge, at 1 Ring Rd. in the Roosevelt Field mall complex.

When they arrived, police said, they found two people had been shot.

Police did not provide information about the conditions of the people or the circumstances of the shootings.

Nassau homicide detectives and the crime-scene unit worked at the restaurant until shortly before 5 p.m., when they released the scene to restaurant employees, who were seen entering the building with brooms and mops.

Earlier, authorities reopened the restaurant's parking lot, which had been cordoned off with yellow police tape after the shooting.

Mint's website describes itself as an Indo-Asian Fusion restaurant. Sunday night, the restaurant's manager declined to comment.

Mint reopened to diners about 7 p.m.
