DA: Michael Barletta sentenced in child porn case
A North Massapequa man charged in 2011 with disseminating child pornography online was classified Tuesday as a Level 1 sex offender and was sentenced to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet for at least six months, Nassau County prosecutors said.
Michael Barletta, 47, also was given 6 months of jail time, which he has already served, and 10 years of supervised probation, according to the Nassau district attorney's office.
He was sentenced Tuesday by Nassau County Court Judge Angelo Delligatti.
Barletta pleaded guilty last December to promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child, both felonies.
He was arrested in September 2011.
His attorney, Eric Sachs, with offices in Bellmore and North Babylon, had no comment.
