State troopers identified the second victim in a fiery single-car crash that occurred on the Southern State Parkway last Monday, police announced.

Elvyn Guevara-Munoz, 18, was identified Monday afternoon as the passenger killed in a crash state police said occurred around 8:50 p.m. Oct. 14 on the eastbound parkway west of Exit 29.

An investigation determined excessive speed was a contributing factor in the single car crash, according to New York State Police.

State troopers found the driver, identified as Brayan Antonio Benitez-Benitez, 21, of Mineola, deceased outside the vehicle, a 2003 Nissan 350Z,  which was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters from the North Massapequa Fire Department extinguished the burning vehicle on the wooded shoulder of the parkway. Additional details were not available from police

State police ask anyone with information related to the crash to call them at 631-756-3300.
