An accident in which a woman was injured when her car overturned in Massapequa Monday involved two vehicles, police said Friday.

The victim had to be extricated from her car, and a police helicopter flew her to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.

Police had no update on the nature of her injuries or her condition Friday.

The woman’s car overturned in the accident at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Broadway at about 10:30 a.m., police said.

The Massapequa Fire Department freed the woman using hydraulic cutting tools.

The other driver in the accident stayed at the scene, a police spokeswoman said Friday. It was unclear whether any charges were filed.
