A tractor trailer jackknifed on the Long Island Expressway in Syosset on Wednesday, closing all but the HOV lane for almost two hours, Nassau County police said.

The accident occurred at about 1 p.m. in the eastbound lanes between Exits 43 and 44, according to informny.com, the state Department of Transportation website.

A police spokeswoman said there were no reports of serious injuries.

The roadway was reopened just before 3 p.m. after the tractor trailer was put upright again, police said.
