The Elmont Fire Department and three other area departments responded to fight a fire Saturday in a home on Catherine Court in Elmont, Nassau County police said. Credit: Lou Minutoli

Four people in Elmont were hospitalized Saturday night following a house fire, Nassau County police said.

The blaze happened in a house on Catherine Court near Circle Drive West around 5 p.m., police said. All were taken to a local hospital. Police hadn't yet provided further details.

Fire departments from Elmont, Lakeview, Valley Stream and Franklin Square all came to assist, police said.
