A 49-year-old man was killed after crashing his vehicle into a Baldwin home Thursday night, Nassau County police said.

The man was driving a 2013 Hyundai Tucson east on Grand Terrace Avenue around 11:24 p,m. when his vehicle left the roadway, striking a fence and then a house.

He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police, who have not identified the driver.

The residence was occupied at the time of the crash and sustained exterior damage, but no one inside was injured, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
