A 28-year-old Uniondale man was killed Wednesday when the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a collision with a Jeep in Baldwin, Nassau County police said.

The fatal accident occurred on Centennial Avenue at 7:26 a.m. The crash closed the road between Woodside and Matheron avenues for the investigation.

In a news release Thursday, police said Kevin Lodge was headed westbound on Centennial when his motorcycle collided with the Jeep, driven by a 38-year-old woman. The identity of the driver was not released by police, who said no criminality is suspected.

Police said Lodge was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where he died at 8:09 a.m.
