The Long Island Expressway between exits 46 and 48 eastbound has reopened after Nassau County police conducted an accident reconstruction drill in that section.

The eastbound traffic had been directed to the service road at exit 46 (Sunnyside Boulevard).

The closure was scheduled for 7 to 10 a.m. for the lanes weren't reopened until about 10:30 p.m.
