A woman who was riding a bicycle in Oceanside when she was hit by a pickup truck has died from her injuries, Nassau County police said Monday.

Michele Penque, 27, of Rockville Centre, struck about 10:35 a.m. Sunday, was pronounced dead at 4:34 p.m. at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, according to a news release.

Penque was riding south on Lawson Boulevard and tried to cross to Anchor Avenue when the pickup, a 2012 Dodge driven by a man, 49, hit her.

The truck was going east on Anchor Avenue and turning left onto Lawson when the accident occurred, police said.

Police said in the Monday news release "there is no criminality involved in this accident."
