Long Beach police said they are investigating the shooting of man Sunday in the Channel Park area.

At about 11:38 p.m., police received a 911 call about a man with a gunshot wound to his right arm.

Officers responded to the area of Channel Park homes and found the victim on Birch Court, according to Lt. Eric Cregeen.

He was taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside for medical treatment and evaluation, Cregeen said.
